How to Bridge BNB to Solana: USDT BEP-20, Gas and Fees

Featured image on a near-black background with a faint grid. On the left, the BNB Chain logo (top) and the Solana logo (bottom right) sit diagonally in two matching circular badges, about 290 px each, linked by a bold white arrow pointing from BNB to Solana under a soft gold glow. On the right, a dark pill with a gold outline reads "GUIDE" above the large headline "BNB TO SOLANA", with "BNB" in BNB gold and the other words in white.

To bridge BNB to Solana, use Jupiter’s Bridge & Swap from a wallet (no Jupiter fee), or withdraw on the Solana network if your BNB or USDT is on Binance. Those two cover most people.

This page splits the routes by what you hold on BNB Chain (BSC): BNB, USDT BEP-20, Binance-Peg SOL, or funds still on an exchange. Fees come from each provider’s own docs as of 7 October 2026. Stuck transfers and the basics are in our main bridging guide.

Pick a route by what you hold on BNB Chain

You hold Route Why
BNB in a wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom) Jupiter Bridge & Swap Compares routes in one place, no Jupiter fee
USDT BEP-20 in a wallet Jupiter, or deBridge/Mayan direct Arrive as USDC or USDT on Solana in one go
BNB, USDT or SOL on Binance Convert BNB to SOL if needed, then withdraw on the Solana network No bridge contract and no BNB gas
Binance-Peg SOL on BSC Via Binance if it accepts BEP20 SOL, else a bridge that quotes native SOL It isn’t real SOL and can’t go to a Solana address as-is
Funds in Trust Wallet or Phantom Check the wallet’s own swap screen, else Jupiter Trust Wallet says it swaps BNB Chain tokens for Solana assets; Phantom doesn’t confirm it yet

Gas on both ends: BNB to send, SOL to use

Every wallet route signs a transaction on BNB Chain, and Jupiter’s docs say you need enough gas on the source network to execute it. On BNB Chain that gas is BNB. Keep some back and don’t bridge your whole balance.

The other end catches more people. Arrive with USDC and zero SOL and you can’t pay the fee to move it. Take part of the transfer as SOL, use Mayan’s gas drop (in the costs section below), or check where to buy SOL for a small top-up. No Solana wallet yet? Set one up first, or compare Solana wallets if you’re not sure which app to use.

Bridge BNB to Solana from MetaMask with Jupiter Bridge & Swap

Jupiter’s bridge page is where I’d start for BNB or USDT sitting in MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Phantom. Per Jupiter’s docs (7 October 2026), it supports 11 networks including BNB Chain and compares three route providers (GUM Universal Bridge, GUM Universal Deposit and deBridge) by estimated delivered amount. Jupiter lists its own fee as “None”: each route’s fee is already in the delivered amount, and BNB gas is paid separately when you sign.

The steps, adapted from Jupiter’s docs:

  1. Connect your Solana wallet to Jupiter.
  2. Open Jupiter’s Bridge & Swap page.
  3. Pick BNB Chain as the source network, choose the token you hold (BNB or USDT, for example) and enter the amount.
  4. Pick what you want on Solana. SOL or USDC are the practical choices.
  5. Compare routes by estimated delivered amount. For deBridge routes, Jupiter also shows the rate, fees, ETA and price impact.
  6. Connect the wallet holding your BNB Chain funds (MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Phantom).
  7. Confirm and sign on BNB Chain. BNB pays the gas.

If your token isn’t in the source list, swap it to BNB on BNB Chain first. Some routes can also deliver BNB as wrapped BNB (WBNB) on Solana, but very little on Solana uses it, so you’d usually swap it on Solana again and pay twice. Take SOL or USDC unless you specifically want BNB exposure there. More on wrapped tokens in how Solana tokens work, and our Jupiter guide covers the rest of the app once you’ve landed.

Swap BNB to Solana in Trust Wallet or Phantom

Trust Wallet says its swaps can exchange BNB Chain tokens for Solana assets with no extra service fee. Phantom holds BNB Chain now, but its help centre doesn’t confirm a BNB Chain to Solana swap. Try the in-app quote first. If there isn’t one, connect that wallet to Jupiter as the BNB Chain side.

Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet’s blog on cross-chain swaps (updated 17 July 2026) names “exchange BNB Chain tokens for Solana assets” as something it handles, and walks through a BTC to ETH example. Applied to BNB Chain: open Swap, set BNB Chain as the “From” network with your token, set Solana as the “To” network with SOL or USDC, enter the amount and continue. The blog says Trust Wallet “doesn’t charge additional service fees for cross-chain swaps”, so you pay the networks’ fees only. Still compare the delivered amount with Jupiter’s before you sign.

Phantom

Phantom announced on X on 1 October 2026 that BNB Chain is live in the app (update to the latest version), and BNB Chain’s official account confirmed it. Phantom’s bridge help page lists LI.FI (which integrates Mayan), Relay, deBridge and Garden as providers but doesn’t name BNB Chain to Solana as a pair. It says a cross-chain swap has up to four costs: a source network fee, a bridge fee, a destination network fee and price impact. The bridge fee isn’t its own line: Phantom shows it inside the price impact figure on the confirmation screen, and swap settings > Provider breaks it out.

On top of that, Phantom’s swap help page lists a 0.85% Phantom fee “applied to most swaps” and doesn’t say cross-chain swaps are exempt. On $1,000 that’s $8.50 before any bridge fee, so on anything sizeable I’d check Jupiter’s number first.

If Phantom doesn’t quote, use Jupiter with Phantom connected as the BNB Chain wallet. Don’t go searching for some other bridge site; our security basics explain why typed URLs and bookmarks matter.

Convert BNB to SOL on Binance and withdraw on the Solana network

If your BNB or USDT is still on Binance, this is the simplest route: you skip the bridge contract and you don’t need BNB for gas.

  1. Convert BNB to SOL (or keep USDT as it is) with Binance Convert. Binance’s Convert FAQ says “There are no fees for using Binance Convert”, and the quote you see is what you receive. The rate is where any cost sits, so compare it with the spot price.
  2. Withdraw SOL or USDT and choose the Solana network on the withdrawal screen.
  3. Paste your Solana address and check the network again before you confirm.

Binance lists withdrawal fees on its fee page and on the withdrawal screen, and they change, so go by the screen. Send to a Solana address on the BEP20 network and it won’t arrive. The Coinbase to Phantom steps follow the same pick-the-network, paste-the-address pattern if you’ve never withdrawn to a Solana wallet.

USDT BEP-20 (BSC) to Solana: arrive as USDT or USDC?

Arrive as whichever stablecoin your destination app uses. Both are native on Solana and most routes let you pick. If you want USDC, get a Mayan MCTP quote: Mayan’s MCTP docs say its protocol fee is zero when the output is USDC and 3 bps for other tokens. Fast MCTP charges 3 bps even for USDC output, so check which MCTP variant the quote uses.

Why you can’t just send it: USDT on BNB Chain (BSC) is a BEP-20 token, and USDT on Solana is an SPL token. Different tokens on different chains, so it has to go through a bridge or an exchange. Our Solana stablecoins guide covers the differences between them. Holding USDT on Tron or Ethereum instead? Our guide to bridging USDT to Solana covers those chains.

If you’re bridging to LP on Meteora, I’d arrive as SOL. The memecoin pools I LP in on Meteora are almost all SOL pairs (I post the results, losses included, on X), so arriving as SOL saves a swap and covers your gas. Meteora DLMM for beginners explains how those pools work.

Bridge SOL from BSC to Solana (Binance-Peg SOL)

Binance-Peg SOL is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain that tracks SOL. It isn’t native SOL and you can’t use it on Solana. If you’re holding it because an exchange withdrawal went out on BEP20 by mistake, this is the fix. Two ways out:

  • Through Binance. Open Binance’s SOL deposit screen and check whether it offers the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network. If it does, deposit there, then withdraw SOL on the Solana network as above. If BEP20 isn’t listed for SOL, don’t send it.
  • Through a bridge. On Jupiter or deBridge, set BNB Chain as the source, pick Binance-Peg SOL and choose SOL on Solana as the output. If no route quotes it, swap it to BNB or USDT on BNB Chain first.

With a Binance account and the BEP20 option showing, the Binance way takes fewer steps.

Does BNB Chain’s own bridge go to Solana?

Not from the public page. BNB Chain’s docs describe the BNB Chain Bridge as an aggregator of six providers (Stargate, Celer, deBridge, Meson, LayerZero and Mayan), say “We aggregate, not operate”, and do say it handles transfers in and out of BNB Chain from chains like Solana. But the public bridge page on bnbchain.org only shows BSC, opBNB and Greenfield, and the docs’ FAQ answers a Solana question with “Yes, as long as a route provider supports it. (Only available in Canonical Bridge Widget)”, the open-source widget other apps embed. The docs list no fees. deBridge and Mayan are two of those six providers, so going to them directly or through Jupiter gets you the same routes.

Allbridge, Symbiosis and Wormhole Portal also turn up in BNB to Solana guides. Their current BNB Chain fees aren’t confirmed at the source, so they’re not in the table below.

BNB to Solana bridge costs side by side

From BNB Chain, deBridge charges a flat 0.005 BNB plus 0.04% of the amount, and Mayan’s Swift route has no protocol fee, per each provider’s docs on 7 October 2026.

Route What you pay Source (7 Oct 2026)
Jupiter Bridge & Swap No Jupiter fee. Route fee reflected in the estimated delivered amount. BNB gas paid separately Jupiter docs
deBridge direct 0.005 BNB flat + 0.04% of the amount sent, plus BNB gas. Refunded if cancelled deBridge docs
Mayan direct Swift: no protocol fee, no Solana or redeem relayer fee. MCTP: no protocol fee for USDC output, 3 bps otherwise. Fast MCTP: 3 bps. Front-ends can add a referrer fee. Optional SOL gas drop (0.01 default, 0.1 max) Mayan docs
Trust Wallet swap No extra service fee on cross-chain swaps, network fees apply Trust Wallet blog
Phantom cross-chain 0.85% Phantom fee on most swaps, plus up to four costs (bridge fee shown inside price impact). BNB Chain to Solana not confirmed Phantom help centre
Binance Convert + withdraw No Convert fee. Withdrawal fee shown on Binance’s fee page and withdrawal screen Binance Convert FAQ

deBridge. The deBridge fee table says an order created on BNB Chain pays 0.005 BNB flat plus 4 bps (0.04%) in the token you send, fully refunded if the order is cancelled. On $1,000 of USDT that’s $0.40, plus 0.005 BNB, plus normal gas. The flat fee does most of the damage on small amounts, so I wouldn’t send tiny transfers this way. Cross-chain orders on deBridge also earn Season 3 points, which started on 10 October 2025 per deBridge’s blog: 100 points per $1 paid in fees, not per $1 of volume, with no end date announced. Our deBridge points guide tracks the season.

Mayan. MCTP and Wormhole Swap fees come back with each quote. Mayan’s fee docs also say integrators can add a referrer fee on Swift (up to 200 bps), and list a separate relayer fee charged only if an order is refunded, so read the quote rather than assuming zero. The extra worth knowing is gas drop: Mayan’s gas drop docs say it adds SOL to your transfer, 0.01 SOL by default on Solana and up to 0.1 SOL, and it doesn’t trigger by default if your wallet already holds enough SOL. Landing with only USDC? Turn it on.

Going to deBridge or Mayan directly rather than through Jupiter is the same trade-off as aggregators vs going direct on Solana. Once you’ve landed, DeFi on Solana maps out what to do with the money, and the Solana Guides academy has the rest of the basics.

FAQ

Can I swap BNB to Solana directly?

Not by sending it. BNB Chain and Solana are separate networks with different address formats, so a bridge, a wallet’s cross-chain swap (Trust Wallet says it supports BNB Chain to Solana) or an exchange has to sit in between. Phantom now has a BNB Chain account too, but sending BNB there keeps it on BNB Chain. It doesn’t move it to Solana.

How long does a BNB to Solana bridge take?

It depends on the route. Mayan’s docs quote as little as 2 seconds for Swift, as little as 5 seconds for MCTP and under a minute for Wormhole Swap. Those are best cases. For deBridge routes, Jupiter shows an ETA before you sign.

How much SOL will I get for my BNB?

There’s no fixed figure: it’s the live BNB to SOL rate minus fees. Enter your exact amount (5 BNB, say) on Jupiter’s Bridge & Swap and read the estimated delivered amount, or read the Convert quote on Binance. Compare that number across routes rather than working it out from a headline price.

Can I bridge from Solana back to BNB Chain?

Yes. deBridge and Mayan both support BNB Chain and Solana, so you set Solana as the source and BNB Chain as the destination. You pay gas in SOL to send, and you’ll want a little BNB on arrival to move anything on BNB Chain afterwards. The same pattern works for bridging from Solana to Ethereum, and coming the other way from Base has its own page.
